Incarnate Word University has begun work on a new $25 million student center on campus. The previous center, Marian Hall, located across Broadway will be demolished to make room for the Student Engagement Center. According to the university, the new facility will be a ‘one stop shop’ for students.   Construction is expected to take 22 months. Once complete, the facility will house the campus post office, print shop, bookstore, a dining facility, an 800-seat ballroom, and 8 smaller multipurpose spaces.

In the interim, the university is planning on having rotating food trucks on campus to supplement dining options for students. The center will feature a buffet style dining facility, as well as a recreation area and pub in the basement.
