Presidian Hotels & Resorts, a local hotel owner/operator and developer, broke ground recently on a Hampton Inn by Hilton and adjoining convention center in far North Central San Antonio.
The project is taking place 13 miles north of Loop 1604’s intersection with U.S. 281, right at 281 and Highway 46. The hotel will have 87 rooms while the convention facility will measure 5,300 square feet, including office and meeting space. The hotel is designed to appeal to short-distance travelers. It is slated for completion in summer 2017.
The Hampton Inn by Hilton is part of the Singing Hills development, a master-planned community that when built out will have more than 246,150 square feet of retail space, more than 350 single-family residential units, a multifamily site, an entertainment complex, 25 additional spots for various uses, and possibly office space. Singing Hills is located not far from Bulverde, Spring Branch, Stone Oak and Boerne. It’s a short drive from New Braunfels, too. It’s in the middle of continuous residential and commercial growth in the Hill Country. Some real estate industry outlets call it one of the fastest growing areas in the nation.
Measuring 250 acres, FLY OVER VIDEO HERE, Singing Hills now includes a 200,000-square-foot Wal-Mart supercenter, a Security Service Federal Credit Union branch, and a blend of fast-service eateries. REOC San Antonio is developing Singing Hills, and taking care of leasing and sales while Middleman Construction Co. is handling overall surrounding construction. Mdn Architects is the firm overseeing designs for the community. The concept for Singing Hills is to offer an array of services and products, from general merchandise and urgent health care, to meeting professional and entertainment needs in an expanding community. REOC is installing more than $50 million in site infrastructure.
